Portable cement mixer recommendations?

Hello,
I agree with everyone that bought a HF mixer. For the money, they are great and do a good job. I have had mine for years. I have done a few improvements to mine that makes it work much better. Some of the posters were saying that some of the metal connections broke....I know why they probably did break. When I first bought mine, the wheels were the part that I least liked. They were a solid type wheel and had a big hole in the center that was just slid over the pipe axle.
My mixer got nick named "Thumper" because every time that the mixing tub would go around, the concrete would shift in the tub and make the whole machine thump. That probably would break joints after a while. I solved that problem by taking off the original wheels and turning new axles on the metal lathe. I made one end of the axle to fit in the end of the pipe axle (then welded in) and the other end to fit a pneumatic tire that HF sells. Now when the concrete goes around in the tub, the air in the tires act as shock absorbers and no more thumping, just smooth. It also makes the mixer a little wider which makes it more stable. I did have to wire a new switch in at some point, but that was no big deal. I am pleased with it for what I have spent. I only use it every now and then and when I call it to duty, it works like a champ !!!!!
