How long Natural Gas gonna keep coming down pipeline wid de electric off? Most de gas engines pumped it for years now replaced wid electric pumps.

Propane, don't forget "annual acceptable loss" due to system leaks. Industry has a standard shrink factor.

Ain't NO free lunch.

I'm guessing Natural gas delivery is dependant on a working Inernet. Foolish how everyone puts all their eggs in this one big basket.

Have lost electricity many time, sometimes for an extended period (days) due to hurricanes. Never once have I lost natural gas.

My Dad picked up Kubota 6500 portable [it's on wheels] genny. Diesel, water cooled.
It is run through a whole house transfer switch and independent breaker panel with all the important circuits [water pump, furnace, kitchen etc.]
It lives in his garage and is quiet for a diesel and very fuel efficient.
The best part is he got it used for $1200. They list new for north of $6k!

I know where everything is, it is more that I am space challenged. Example, the backhoe attachment is behind the wood splitter which is behind the brush mower which is behind the lawnmower which is behind my pickup. So getting to the backhoe means moving 4 things.

When I mntioned Internet, I wasn't talking about at the end user, but more of control of pumping stations and the system as a whole. It would be interesting how they manage their system if not by Internet.
