I own a B7100 HST with a Kubota 1630 FEL, being a newbie how does the bucket level work and how to i know when it is level. Also am looking for an owners manual on the FEL Kubota 1630 any suggestions ?

If your's is like mine then the top part should be painted black and when the black part starts to go into the sleve it should be level with the ground. I hope this helps...

If the bucket level indicator is like those on the L30 series, you need to simply get the tractor on roughly level ground and adjust the bucket until it is flat to the ground. Get a sharpie and mark the rod. I took and actually removed the paint from the rod at that point for about 3/4". It gives me good visibility and I know exactly where flat or level is even before getting to the area I'm removing from. On the L30, the rod is excessively long and even the manual suggests you consider cutting it down to any length that works for you. Had I left it as long as it was originally, it would be bent and destroyed.

Is this type of level indicator available for the LA211 on my BX? The welded triangle on the bucket is not a great design.

I have the bucket level gauge and can tell you that without it, there would be a lot of gouges in the turf. Every spring, I have to go over the lawn and pick up rocks that have been heaved up by the frost. With the bucket level gauge, it is easy to know exactly when the buckets front edge is parallel with the ground. In the past, I would get off the tractor and look at it first, then reposition and get off again. If everything lined up, then I could drive forward and pick up the rock. Now, I just have to drive up to them to pick them up. This gauge saved me a lot of on / off cycles of my body and tractor.

That looks like a great setup. Similar to mine. It really does save time as for me, I have been loading or boxscraping a lot of material to different areas. With the level indicator, I have the bucket ready to go prior to arriving at my pile or when cutting material. It works great.
