Overrunning clutch is only about $50-80 . They can be added anytime if you later decide to use the pto.

You can buy a newer and a more powerful tractor for that kind of money, but if you are spending $4100 for something to look at then price is whatever you are willing to spend. Too rich for me though. The old Fords are not all that rare as many people are still using them to work with. The Sherman transmissions are not all that common though, but it may not be original to the tractor either. Ford made a lot of 8N tractors and replacement parts are still readily available to rebuild one from scratch if need be. (kinda like a VW Beetle) I'd love to see you post some pictures of it sometime. It must be a nice one.

Appreciate the offer, but my whole point of possibly buying this one would be to NOT have a major project.

Its a old tractor, There all major projects. Just in different forms.

price is high even if rebuilt. RUN FROM THIS. I owned one (it was my first) for over 5 years. in this case ford stood for fix or repair daily. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND LOOK FOR A DEISEL MASSEY WITH A PERKINS ENGINE OR A DEXTA ENGLISH FORD (PERKINS ALSO)!!!!

Price is too high in my area. For that kind or money I would be looking at a later hundred series or thousand series with more options.
The way 8n prices are I don't think you will recoup your money at the time of sale.
Is the sherman a combo (will add more value) or a step up (not much value)
