robbyr - If you like the Mahindra, the 2555 or 2655 (essentially the same tractor) is available in HST and has a loader lift capacity of about 3100 lbs. Weight of the tractor and loader total is just over 5500 lbs (for the cab version) and with loaded rears you can add about 1300 lbs more. This series is made by TYM so you can find a comparable under the TYM brand or even the Rural King brand though they won't have the same Mahindra engine. It all depends on what dealerships you have nearby.
The Massey 1754 is similar in HP and weight but with less lifting capacity. When I looked at the Massey I didn't like the cab layout and a few other things.
You mention New Holland as well. You could also look at LS since they make the New Holland.
Kioti also makes good tractors. My second choice before I bought my Mahindra was a Kioti NX5510 which has just slightly less lifting capacity as the Mahindra with just over 2700 lbs.

So I went and looked at some tractors this weekend. Massey Ferguson 2606H and some Mahindras after business hours. Been comparing the Massey and Mahindra 5555. The Massey is 65 hp, Mahindra 55. Mahindra has a little more lifting capacity. Not sure which is more important between horsepower and lift capacity. Don’t really understand breakout force even after reading another thread. Decisions, decisions...

Rural King has their own line of tractors now built by one of the major builders.
You can go to the RK forum (on Tractorbynet) and get a lot of info and there is a factory rep that hangs out there and answers a lot of questions.
They seem to be stocking and selling a lot of them.
I'm happy with my 3510 Branson but was just reading about them and saw them at my local store.
