Don't rent an RV, you'll get hosed. You CAN fly and rent a car cheaper than the RV rental. The 10 month old flies for free. The last time I checked on an RV rental, it was $1000 for the first 3 days and $250 a day for every day after and that was only allowing 500 miles. I don't even remember what the extra mileage charge was.

( Anyway, be sure to talk to several realtors. I went to www.realtor.com and started looking at land on that site. It's the best site I've come across for the amount of listings. Then I contacted realtors with listings that I was interested in. Most only replied with a phone number and ignored my questions. A few responded to the questions but offered nothing else. Two offered suggestions and even told me that those listing have a few issues and I might not want them. Those two got my attention. They are the ones I talked to when I moved here and bought my land.)

Great advice on weeding out the bad real estate agents. Most in the business are lazy - just operate on a numbers game. Do enough advertizing and you'll get enough business to make a living, without having to work at it. You found a way to find agents who will WORK for you.

As for schools, it's true most places, and soon will be true EVERYWHERE, the only good school is the one you run in your home.
