I have a Glock 30. I put a mag extension on it; I have big hands; the grip was just too short. Now it is ok.

I have found I shoot a 21 better than a 30, and a 1911a1 even better. I was out a few weeks ago, was shooting ok with my G30, but picked up a buddies stock cheapo 1911(don't remember brand, but definitely a budget entry level jobber) and shot much better than my G30. I had not fired a 1911 in a couple of years...

Yeah...some folks find the 1911 a better shooter. I don't, but that's just me...and I don't shoot 1911's often enough to be any good with 'em (even though I own two Colts).
When I look at handguns nowadays, it's with carry in mind. Not that I don't appreciate a cool looking handgun...not by far!
I've just found, for my method of carry...Tupperware works best.

CTPres, did you look at one of the Taurus .45/.410 revolvers? Here's a link. I've seen these...got no idea if they're any good

Just a braggin' pic. The Glock 22 is my "fun gun" but it doubles as a rust/dust/bang around gun for when I'm tractoring. Its nailed a few possums and other various rodents that needed to be quickly dispatched.

I will second the fact that Glock don't like lead bullets. I have a Glock 20, 10mm Auto and I had bought some lead bullet reloads at a gun show for some "cheap" shooting. On the range, after half the second magazine accuracy went south so I put it aside to check later. However when I got out my Ruger Blackhawk with a 10mm Auto cylinder, it did about the same. When I cleaned them both were leaded but the Glock looked horrible. Took a lot of work to get them clean. In a later range session I put the .38-40 cylinder in the Ruger and shot my reloads. No particular leading - those bought reloads must have had some soft lead - they have been broken down for reuse. Gotta get a lead hardness tester.

I believe Glock actually prohibits use of lead bullets due to the polygonal rifling in their barrels. This should be stated in your Glock's manual.
If I recall correctly, lead bullets foul the rifling quickly and can raise pressures to a dangerous degree.
So...check you Glock manual before using any more lead bullets!

I have never carried, except as a second weapon when hunting. The G30 is definitely carriable though.

For accuracy and cool looks, I have not shot anything personally, better than a good 1911a1 or a Desert Eagle 44mag. The Desert Eagle was not much of a concealed carry weapon though.

That's an old gun, isn't it? Looks like a first generation from the late 80's or early 90's.

Got 2 Glocks here...I'm a 9 mm guy. One is an old (mid 80's) 17, the other a Gen 2 19.

Glock's a nice gun, aren't they?

Hey Vern, that 10 mm is pretty hot is why you had leading so fast. Clock says no to lead for safety. Alot of guys shoot slower round with no problems just clean or bore snake every 100 rounds or so, or after-market barrel. I have a 9mm barrel for my G-27 that payed for it-self at a 600 round shoot I went to. If you figure 9mm over 40S&W for 600 rounds, thats good chunk of money. And was easier on my old hands LOL.

Yep, shoots both .45 Colt (NOT .45 ACP) and .410. I think it's a neat gun.
I can't say I have a need for one but it's an interesting gun. Do a web search for reviews. The ones I've read praised it as a niche weapon...like for protection against carjackers.
I have handled one and that long cylinder looks a bit odd
