Also have a Speeco from TSC. I did all the holes for our pasture fence and the yard fence with it. It's held up pretty well, but if I was buying today, I would buy a system with a different drill point. In our area TSC is no longer selling the Speeco model I have, but they still have the replacement tips and blades. The new unit they sell has a heavier braced shaft holding the gearbox and the augers sold with it have what they call a fishtail drill tip. I understand this type of bit will start the auger easier in harder ground.
Wasn't an issue when I first bought my unit (thank goodness), but as dry as things were this summer, I really could have used any advantage I could get. While drilling a few holes for some garden fencing, I had to do some pretty dangerous and stupid things to add weight to the auger. Definitely NOT OSHA approved!!
