This is why I get defensive. I was also told that "in Michigan a hunter can hunt anywhere as long as it isn't posted."
Once I had a chance to look up the actual law I found that it is absolutely not the case. I wonder if your lawyer is saying this to influence you in some way.
I hardly see how you can be responsible for someone else's acts just because you gave them permission to hunt on your land.
