Posting Pictures

I just figured out how to resize pictures so they will post here so I think I'll try it out. This is a 28 X 36 log cabin I built about 3 years ago. I didn't have a digital camera at the time so I don't have pictures of the entire process, at least not digital pictures. It took about 2 years from start to finish. This isn't my regular residence, just my weekend getaway. I cut loblolly pines off my farm and then had a guy with a portable sawmill come in and saw the trees into 6 X 7 inch logs for the cabin walls. As an added bonus I got enough random length and width one by's to do the interior walls. I enjoy immensely going there on the weekends to hunt, fish, get tractor seat time, relax etc.

Since it worked, I'll do some more. This is my New Holland TN75 in front of the cabin.

I made this door using tongue and grooved 2 X 6's.

A picture of one of the bedrooms. Notice the rustic log beds. I made them out of cedar and pine logs cut off the farm.

that is absolutely beautiful! im a big fan of log cabins, especially the square logs with nice, thick, white "chinking" between them, like yours. great job! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
