Erne beat me to it. Just logged in to let you know about it. I am almost tempted to get a second one :) Now if it had the air conditioning like the other cabbed one :))) Would be easy to add.

Ken

60 Amp alternator on our PT. A hacksaw and some screws and you could mount a nice one to the roof. I would rip it off on my property with all the low hanging branches but....

I sent the people selling that 1850 a note asking them if that was the one that rolled into the lake. They said no.

Carl, on the tree branches, I thought that you knew that you were supposed to go through your property and trim all the branches that might cause trouble. I did that for about three acres.

I have a wife and I have 40 acres.. She is all green thumbsy and says that other than our orchard, and a few designer maples, I can't trim the trees... I also have a place on the upper section where the logging guys left a 1000' cable attached to a tree, just high enough to catch the top of the PT... One day I am borrowing the neighbors dozer and we are going to pull these massive cables out...

I guess you gotta stay on the trails, like moma said.

If you have a portable generator, and a 4 in, or a 9 in grinder, you can drop those cables, and do whatever with them, Even make a bag swing seat with a pulley, and a platform up in a tree and have some fun. That would be one heck of a ride.

Carl,

One day when you get the chance, how about a rooftop video of your property, or perhaps a birds eye view. It's sort of hard for me to visualize what your Northwest land looks like. Have you looked at your property using Google Earth. All I see on my place is trees.

Ya those big cables can be a real pain to get rid of. I suppose one could cut them up with a cutting torch and load into your bucket to haul away.

I found tons of scrap cable on my property but ultimately dumpstered them, even when metal prices were high. Could not rationalize days of cutting cable into 3' chunks (per the scrap yard)... For what sounded like maybe a $100 in steel...
