A small inflator is nice. I bought the Airmoto off Amazon. For small tires such as the Kawasaki Mule or the dolly to move boxes around it is much quicker and easier than firing up a compressor and dragging out air hoses. It is also nice to toss in the glove box for road trips, charges off the USB port if needed. I have the Dewalt 20V inflator as well for vehicle and trailer tires. It and a 20V Dewalt impact stays in the truck and goes with me on trailer trips.

I have one of these RIGID tire inflators, had it for a couple years and use it all the time because my tractor tire has a slow leak. Works great!

I have not used mine on my tractor but it airs (tops off) up car tires just fine. It works for mowers and wheelbarrows too.

I may get one for each car.

I wondered what a potable item was used for and thought maybe it was used in the bathroom. I think I would be disappointed with it since I'm used to using my 20 gal. compressor in my shop.

So, my buddy has one, and said it's good for one tire per charge.

My work truck has it's own air compressor, so if one of the 18 large tires needs air... all I used to have to worry about was if the hose I had would be long enough! Nowadays, the trailers are almost all "auto inflate" systems, so all I have to worry about is the truck tires! Makes a guy lazy!

There are appropriate needs for these things. My daughter is bad about taking care of her car, but it does have a low pressure warning light. I bought her one of those compressors so she wouldn't wait to take it to the station and spend a couple of dollars every time a tire was low. The first one I bought her lasted 4 or 5 years and I just got her a replacement. I've thought about getting one for our car that doesn't have a spare tire.

I don't know what is worse, people not maintaining their tractors in a timely manner or not maintaining their compressors in a timely manner. My compressors are all on a service schedule and all have timed condensate drains as well (except the little one). Not draining condensate in a receiver will eventually cause failure due to internal corrosion, sometimes with real bad results as a pressurized receiver is a bomb when it fails.

Besides, commercial sized compressors aren't a cheap date to begin with and they all produce condensation as part of their operating characteristics.

My Quincy QP retails for north of 6 grand and the Sulaire set me back almost 10 grand. Of course both have 440-3 motors.

I just bought a Makita twin tank compressor. Replaced a Sears that lasted 40 years.

I've found an easy answer to carrying some type of cordless air compressor - routine maintenance. Sixty years of driving - NEVER had a flat tire.
