We "reuse" plastic and drip tape on strawberries for 3-4 years.
For any seasonal crops to date we lay new plastic and tape.

If our deer pressure were less I'd be open to trying to use some of our rows for 2 seasons. The deer really tear the plastic up in the fall with hoof punctures.

I may try it some day but it's workin alright the way i'm doin it now. I had at least 75 people last year tell me i had the best pumpkins they had seen. Must be doing something right:thumbsup:

That's what i'm saying. I like to do stuff kind of old school. A little hard work never killed anyone.

I cant find any of just the fields themselves but heres two of us in one of the pumpkin patches last year. Thats sweet corn around the edge of the field.

For the business you have going and the volume you plant I'd plant pumpkins the same way.

Anyone ever heard of putting seaweed on pumpkins? I hear it's supposed to make them grow like crazy.

I have no idea why... but I've been wanting to put in a small (compared to the patches I see in this thread) patch of pumpkins. I've never grown them before. I do have a LOT of deer around here... would I have to take measures to keep the deer out of the patch? Or do they not like pumpkin plants?
