I just got done replacing the fuel pump on the RTV. The outlet nipple on the pump snapped off flush with the pump body. I discovered what I think is a design flaw that most likely caused the failure. The oil dipstick tube was against the outlet nipple and vibration from the motor was transmitted directly to the fuel pump outlet. In fact I had to put a little extra bend in the tube to get the new fuel pump to fit in position, it was that tight against the pump. Maybe my situation is unique, but check yours and maybe you will save $69.00 for a new pump.
