Talked with a Stihl guy last night and he recommended an ounce of sea foam along with the oil in every gallon. says this seems to help protect from the ethanol. He also recommended running synthetic oil. Any thoughts???

Smear a bit of mix oil on the gas cap threads when filling, see if that helps. If so, doubt you would have to smear at each refill, only occasionally.

Just as an update, I used my bench grinder on the threads about two months ago and so far no problems. I use it almost every weekend and have put several tanks of gas through it with no problems!! Thanx for the advice!!
