Pouring slab over septic line

/ Pouring slab over septic line #31
1/4 " per foot is correct fall for the fluid to carry the effluient to the tank or the leach field. i am asuming you are talkig about what we call a "tight line", the line that runs from the house to the tank or tank to first distrubution box. what is curious to me is the distance, usually the tank is close to the house unless there is some terian reason it is remoted that far away. lines are run under streets and foundations all the time, consequently lines are dug up, jack hammered out, and drilled every day. running a "spare" line is not a bad idea and may save you should a problem ever happen, and i would make sure your slab is done with extra care to ensure it never cracks and puts pressure on the line. the reality of all this is the tight line doesnt care whats on top of it you are just making it harder to repair should it become necessary. septic systems have a life span that no one can predict.

if this is a field line "perferated" dont even think about it!! have you exposed the line at both ends?

I am a plumber and if anything happens to that line, we use trenchless technolegy, which is a machine that pulverizes the old line and pulls a new line in to replace the old one.
