I have a late 60s JD 2020 with power adjust rims and I'm thinking of replacing the retaining nuts and bolts that hold the clamps on. I've managed to loosen them enough to widen out my tread width, but I've had to use a breaker bar and a 3' pipe to get them loose. I cannot get the nuts to move without the leverage of the 3' pipe. Has anyone ever replaced these? I'm assuming you just pop them out and replace them one at a time?

One at a time is how I would do it, at 12 o'clock, so no or little weight on them. Sounds like they have not been loosened since new.

Thanks for the suggestion, Zebrafive. I hadn't thought about the 12 o'clock position. I'll give it a go.
