Power Beyond Kit?

I'm still a bit confused with the power beyond and selective control valve business. I know if I want to attach a log splitter to the 3PH, I'll need the power beyond option to run it. But will I need an additional SCV? A dual SCV? And what does the electric diverter valve do?

For logsplitters and backhoes you only need the Power-Beyond since these implements have there own control valve mounted on them.
The Power-Beyond is just a way to tap into the full hydraulic output of the tractor. There is a "loop" at the rear to enable this. If the tractor is running, then oil is flowing through the "loop".

A SCV is only needed to control a cylinder, like a hydraulic top link, angle on a rear blade/rake, ect.

An electric diverter has one input, and two outputs. You can control witch output is active with the flip of a switch. This is real handy say on a FEL where you want to control a grapple. You effectively "divert" oil from the curl cylinders on the FEL to the grapple with a switch.

I looked at what JD had online for the parts list for this tractors power beyond, looks like there are three lines, but would not placing the needed control valve in between the loop line and where it normally connects act just like what I have?

Yes.
By hooking the return, from the log splitter, to the input of the rockshaft valve you are duplicating your setup. The only down side of this, that I see the extra return resistance of the rockshaft valves and it's pressure release valve.

This may slow the splitter down a bit but the advantage of having the operational 3pt would more than make up for it. Unless there ends up being a conflict with the pressure release setup. I am going to give it a try.

For running a backhoe you want as unrestricted a flow as possible and it has it's own release valve, so plumbing the return directly to the sump is a good thing.

Hold the phone here. I have the 3320 with CAB and Deere says this option is still not avaliable. It is avaliable with the non cab model. The control valves are different. If theirs a way of doing it on a cab model so it still looks good inside I'de like to hear. I think they are starting to recognize my voice when I call and the dealer knows why I stop by.
