My dad just picked up a new 2720, which we love:D. We now want to add power beyond so we can run a couple rear hyrdraulics. Since I'm into motorsport fabrication I'll be doing all the modification I have two questions.

First does anyone know the thread pitch for the Allen key that threads into the manifold.

Second, I'm building a dump trailer and I'm wondering how big of a cylinder bore should I use. The trailer is able to hold about 2000 lbs of dirt so I was thinking a 2" bore cylinder and an extended legnth on 32". The cylinder is the same one used by Deere for the 200x loader.

Welcome to TBN:D

I do not know what size the screw is, but I believe it's only a $2 part from JD IIRC...You can get the part number from JDParts or I can help you. I assume you are trying to add the PB without buying the kit? If so, look at THIS THREAD, the part number may even be in there.

As for the cylinder, it's real hard to say what you will need without knowing the geometry of your setup...like will it be a scissor lift? Look HERE for some calculators that will help. But my initial impression is that the cylinder you mentioned will be to small and will fold like a cheap accordion.

I have read that thread and it was very helpfull. Unfortunetly our dealer told us they would be able to get it in under two weeks:rolleyes:. I was shocked when I heard that. So since I'm not far from Mcmaster, I would rather find out the thread pitch and get the same Allen key.

I'll look at the other thread when I get home and I'll revise my ideas

2 Weeks for a part from JD? It should be under 4 days!
