Power Beyond Qestion?

After doing some more research I now have a much better understanding of power beyond and how it works. In my situation it's not my best option. What I've decided to do is put a selector valve (probably just use a three way ball valve) in before my down rigger valve. I'll also install a pressure relief in case my aux loop isn't connected I won't dead head my pump.

To answer previous questions I have a engauge/disengaugable pto driven pump that runs off the input shaft of the transmission. It is an open center system but fluid only flows when the pto is engauged and the the clutch pedal is not depressed.

Now we know.

If a single valve is the only valve in the PTO hyd system, then you don't even need PB.

If your new valve is a two spool valve, and one is used for the down riggers, and the other spool for the trailer.

Sounds like you need a three spool valve, two spools for the down rigges and one spool for the trailer.

I would install QD's in the one spool for the trailer.

Where will the valve be located.

Will you have an additional valve on the trailer?
