Power beyond questions

Hi - A couple of years ago I purchased a Koyker 75 3 point hitch backhoe attachment for my JD 4500. I am wanting to operate it using the power beyond option but, I'm unsure if the remote SCV of the backhoe is an open center system as is the JD 4500. How can I be certain that the backhoe SCV is an open center system? Also, when I connect the backhoe to the power beyond, the 3 point hitch is inoperable. How do I overcome this problem? JD Power Beyond had two return connections. One bypasses the rock shaft control and the other does not. I assume the reason for this is that with the JD backhoe, you DO NOT want the rockshaft operable when it is attached. If you attach to the normal return (the hose which snaps into the supply line when PB is not in use), you should be able to use the rock shaft and an open center device at the same time. Whether your backhoe is open center or not is something you'll have to investigate with Koyker.

Just a couple of curiousity questions. Why do you want the rock shaft operable while you are using the hoe? I am not familiar with the design of the Koyker rig, but I can't imagine that you are going to be adjusting it while using the backhoe. Second, what are you not happy with on the PTO driven hydraulics? I have the JD 48 backhoe on a 4410 and love it. I can see the concept of using the tractor hydraulics, but I am struggling with why you paid for a second pump and now want to bypass it.

To answer you question regarding not using the PTO pump sent with the pump; The pumps main shaft seal is very weak and it leaks no matter what I do to it, whether I replace it with the part from the manfacturer recommends or an after market seal, I can not stop it from leaking.
