power beyond to run snowblower?

i am looking to mount a hydraulic powered skid steer to the loader arms of my jd 4520. first quetion is will a power beyond kit run the motor? how many gpm will it flow? and third is does anyone have any recommendations on what blower to run. looking for something in the 6 to 8 ft range.

The flow will depend on the valve you choose. It should be a little higher than the hyd output in GPM. Are you saying that you want to install a hyd motor driven attachment . The PB outlet is designed to flow the total flow for the valve spec. If you will be using stacked valves, make one of them motor spool setup, perhaps with detent.. You can use a 4 way valve, but you have to be careful about releasing the levers back to neutral, because the hyd attachment might still be turning and will begin to act as a pump, and the fluid needs a place to go. A double relief valve across the motor will suffice to re-route the fluid from output to input of the motor.

You will not have near enough flow to operate it, sorry-especially a 6-8' one!

yea i kind of half expected that. i have seen them mounted this way but im guessing those machines had a pump run by the pto

thanks for your input, ill check out those links. i have a rear mounted pto blower now, just starting to research the front mounted options so any info helps

I have been told that Buehler (farm king) will be offering a loader - skid mount - snowblower and powerpack this fall in the 84" size.....well have to see how much they want for it. Im not sure why the hydraulic res systems are soo much $$$$

This PTO pump puts out 21 GPM, but it cost about $526. Add reservoir, valve, and hoses, and that should get you close to $1200.

thanks for the link......the prices at some sites are wayyyy overpriced IMO. maybe ill think about building my own..hmmm will have to give that some thought
