Power Beyond

I have a 4200 which I bought used sveral years ago. It does not have remote hydraulics. JDParts online says the power beyond kit is no longer available for this model. Is it still available somewhere or is there an aftermarket substitute. I have looked online , even on e-bay, and have not seen such a kit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You might give your local dealer a shout. They might be able to track one down at another dealership. Dealer's have the opportunity to check other dealer's inventory and/or network with each other to find obscure or no longer manufactured parts.

I don't know if this will help, but if you're looking for "Power Beyond Kit" you will probably have difficulty finding it. I just bought this kit for my 2001 JD790 and it's listed as "Rear Auxiliary Hydraulic" kit.

Also, after installing this kit, and knowing what the parts look like, I bet you could probably make a kit yourself. I think I remember reading a thread about someone doing just that. I'll see if I can locate it for you.

I just looked up your "Rear Auxiliary Hydraulic" kit on www.jdpArts.com.
There are 2 kit part numbers (MP31353 New) and (MP23146 OLD). These kits look very similar to the one that I bought for my JD790.
You can look at the breakdown of these kits and it will show each piece that's included in the kit. I'm not sure what "new" or "old" means.
I bet if you call your dealer and mention those 2 part numbers, they'd be able to track one of these kits down, or order each individual piece.
There's also a pretty good illustration of the kit on the JDParts website.

It shows unavailable in JDParts because it is considered a "whole good" and not sold acrossed the parts counter, you will have to talk to a salesmen to order it for you, it should still be available.

Tommy, I am not sure where the MP31353 number came from. I found LVB25221 that fits old and new models. It is still available.

LEKWYO: Maybe you will be lucky and your 4200 is a lot like the 4100 and 2520. Here is a thread which shows the process and gives the correct JD set screw part number to buy to make it happen. The first few posts are the 3-point details, but eventually the thread gets down to installing power beyond, and does it without JD's "kit". This will save you some money.

I have a complete kit of the original power beyond lvbm19534, not 5 minutes ago I sent an email quote to a gentleman for $160, if he does not take I will post to this thread again. Box has been opened but I did verify that all items and instructions are with it. The newer kit is available but is $300.
