Really looking for better mileage and a little more power won't hurt. What kind are you using and are you happy and if not what is your next choice
Thanks

I do not have personal experience, but have heard good things about Edge. I want to chip my cummins when the warranty is up. Not going to risk it otherwise.

Edge is a good one, have you looked at superchip and bully dog, both impressive numbers, till you buy all the toys we want with it LOL

I won't run anything without a pyrometer though. I don't want to burn anything up. I also need to confirm I have the 48re tranny. Mine was built around the time of the switch and have not figured it out yet....

Wouldn't a EGT Gage do about the same thing? they can be bought through an aircraft supplier for less than $ 75. It measure exhaust gas temperature
I have lots of learning to do. I hope the diesel experts chime in soon LOL

I have been an Dealing diesel performance products for about 4 yrs. For the 7.3 ford powerstroke there was never a better chip built than the edge Evolution. The Evolutionwill provide a great amount of pep and and also greatly improve fuel mileage. It is the only chip I reccomend for the 7.3. If you are looking for fuel mileage and extra power the only way to go is either Edge or Superchip. Skinny T's Diesel Performance--- Franklin, Texas

I have a custom 4-position chip by Tony Wildman (Total Diesel Performance Home Page) in my '97 F-350. His tow/haul setting is great for towing and just driving around.

I would recommend at least getting an EGT guage and a tranny temp guage if you have an auto tranny. Opening up the exhaust and intake are also beneficial when upping the horsepower.

EGT and Pyrometer is the same thing.

Just mount it pre turbo to get the quickest most accurate reading.
