Power Pack on L6060, how long of hoses and where do you run them?

Hi all,

Ordering a 3-pt power pack for my L6060 to run a few skid steer attachments...

Getting a 25gal, 21.2gpm unit from Green Hoe.
1. Does anyone have experience with this unit or company?
2. Why type of oil can I use in this? 25gal. is a LOT... their saying no oil cooler is needed because of the 25gal amount in the tank. These are regular Skid Steer attachments, so I'm not sure how the oil differs from our tractors?

Once this is mounted on the 3-pt quick attach...
3. Where is the best locations to run the 2 hydraulic lines so they don't get destroyed over the years all the way up to the FEL?
4. How long of hoses do we need?

Have you invested in these attachments????????????????????????????????????????????????????

You will need more than 25 gallons to fill the tank, hydraulic hoses and the pump and YOU need an oil cooler.

Hydraulic driven skid steer attachments are high oil flow oil attachments requiring 30+ gallons per minute.

Things to understand and keep in mind before you empty your wallet:

Reminder no. 1. hydraulic hose is very expensive and you will need two 30 plus foot long
hoses and hose fittings to match each attachment. If the attachments have different
hose connectors you are really out of luck.

Reminder no. 2. you need hose protector sheath/sleeves for both hoses

If you blow an oil seal on any of these attachments you will pay a great deal
for a repair.

The hoses can be placed outside the right window of the cab using loom clamps
large enough to allow them to be removed and stored with the power pack.

You need stand off clamps to allow you to pull the hoses through to the
front of the loader and to reach the attachment.

Where do you expect to mount the control valves, on the attachment??

A rented Toro Dingo and whatever attachments you need would be a better choice as they
are small powerful track driven machines.

The amount of money your going to spend for too small a power pack and the attachments
will be greater than renting a Toro Dingo and whatever attachments you need over time.

Yes I already have the attachements, one runs at 18gpm, another at 16, the last at 12. All units have flat face connectors.
There are no control valves for any attachment, simple on/off, speed (gpm) depending on PTO output.

L6060 has no cab.

For 18gpm, you will need a 3/4" Power Hose, and at least 3/4" Return Hose. 1" Return would be optimal, but 3/4" Return would be acceptable. We use 3/4" Power and Return Lines on all of our 21gpm Auxiliary Power Units, 1" return for the 32gpm units. Keeping fluid velocity low in the return line is important to keep the system backpressure low and eliminate foaming in the reservoir.

Coolers are required for continuous use attachments. Any hydraulic motor driven attachment that is going to run more than 20 minutes in any clock hour should have conditioned fluid. We include a cooler on every unit so customer use is not limited for any applicable attachment.

Great project! Sounds like you are getting good advice from Michigan Iron & Equipment. What do they say on fluid? Can you use one of the new Lo Vis Syntheitic Motor oils for hydraulic fluid? JD does that in some of their commercial equipment.
Please keep us updated on how this works out.

Fluids will likely be up to the owner/operator.
I would recommend the same fluid he uses for his tractor hydraulic/transmission to keep it simple.

What kind of oil cooler do you have on your units? I found it on your site, but can't tell from the images or drawings. I do not see any wires coming from it so it must be a heatsink style without a fan?

Love the way your pack is setup we just can't do the price tag for it right now. Do you by chance have any other styles or used units?
