Power Point Plug

/ Power Point Plug #12
The dash on my my CK35 had a grommet next to the headlight switch which I removed and installed a marine female cigarette lighter plug with no cutting. Ran wires directly to battery with 20a fuse near battery. I mainly use it for a float charger. Not sure how similar your dash is to mine.

Interesting - Ill need to look at that. I have my light bar switch right below that location. Thanks

And yes a power point plug is just like a cigarette lighter except is it not rated for the hot end of the lighter. (I.E. don't plug a cigarette lighter into a power point plug) Most of the car ones are metal with no cover (just the lighter). Power point plugs come with a cover. My problem is finding one where the rear terminals are sealable or come with a boot of some type. Right now I am looking at the back fender as it will be closer and out of the way of the hay monitor. The existing wiring back there is already in use, so I will be running a separate fused power wire - probably off the starter hot post like I have done before.
