If you store it properly in your workshop you will have no worries. If you are really concerned about using a baby bottle then you have other more important pressing issues regarding your workshop and safety to deal with. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I have used the same plastic baby bottle for over 30 years with no problems for motorcycles, chainsaws and tractors. All this while raising 3 boys. When it's stored on a shelf and looks greasy you will have no problem with kids.

No funnel is needed and the measuring cup lives on top of the bottle, as shown in the photo, until it is needed. Nothing to clean up.

 PS leaves an oily sticky gummy film residue on things like this and the residue will collect lent dust, etc., if you don't clean the measuring device up after each use.

No offence guys, but I relate this to weighing your ice cubes to make sure you get the exact number of cubes needed for optimum cooling of your iced tea.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Seriously, its not that critical.. If you do it for another reason(less mess) than I can understand, but I dont even give it a thought..But to each his own...

I guess your kids are brighter than I was. Earlier than I can remember, I was given the nickname 'The Hi-Octane Kid' one Thanksgiving after I slipped away from the dinner table and, bored among a bunch of adults, sipped from a jar of gasoline that grandpa had used to fuel his blowtorch before he singed the pinfeathers off the turkey he had raised for this day. It ruined the family's holiday when they all rushed me to a doctor's office and got my stomach pumped out.

Then there was the time I ate two pinches, or teaspoonsful (I don't remember) of yellow-green ant poison powder on a dare from an older (4 years) kid. No harmful effects so far as I know.........

Likewise we got my toddler daughter's stomach pumped out after she ate all the mushrooms we had noticed in the lawn.

Kids, some peoples kids, do really dumb stuff. We think of injury prevention in farming and construction, and I try to carry that philosophy into looking out for children as well.

Off the subject, but my scary kid story was when I was 5. We used to take the soda pop bottles back to the store to collect the deposit money, and we had quite a few sitting in the garage. I used to pick them up and drain those last little bits of sticky sugary goodness out of each one, till one summer day...........while tipping a 7 Up bottle.......... I got a mouthful of bugs! Never did that again I can tell you! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

1*I agree but I use the baby bottle method for another reason.
2* 3 Oz is more than enough for 5 Gal so I measure it out to avoid going over 3 Oz in order to maximize the number of gallons treated with a quart of PS.
Less mess and ease of use are other reasons.
