Power Service in a Storage Tank

Sound, thanks for going back and quoting me, no problem with your thinking that there could be more than 1 or two organic chemicals in a bottle of Power Service, in fact there are more than 500 different organic chemicals in a bottle of PS.! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

FYI, the white bottle has allot more chemical additives than the grey bottle due to the fact it is for a completely different purpose..... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I thought maybe you already knew that but from your previous reply it is apparent that you did not.

So I'd be better of adding gasoline stabilizer and a biocide to my tank. Free radical inhibitors that come to mind are vitamin E, and the preservatives BHA and BHT. These probably aren't the best things to be added to my diesel! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Does PS make a stabilizer? Or do you know of another product I should look in to?

So back to the original post...It seems it's better to Not add PS to the tank or can, if you are going to be storing the fuel because the centane booster causes the fuel to deteriorate, correct?

That is my understanding.

Ethylhexylnitrate (and related compounds) is an extremely powerful explosive, very unstable, and a strong oxidant and should NOT be added to diesel fuel until right before it is used in a diesel engine.
