I've got a 3820 and I have had a leak from the steering valve assembly. At first I thought it was from the o rings on the hose ends. After digging in to it, it seems to be coming from the top or the seals at the steering shaft.
It doesn't leak much just if I over turn to the stops. My concern is how do I check the level of the PS fluid. Is this tied to the rest of the hydraulic fluid? I see three connections on the gear pump but no stick or fill cap. Am I on the right track? Thanks in advance.

I have the 99b version that has 2 other connections to the box. But no reservoir that I can see. I didn't see the connection on the right. I will have to see if I can track that hose back.

If yours is like my 3510i, the "suction hose" is on top and has 2 pump suction inlets - "T"'d together into one common suction line, about 1" or so in diameter that goes down under and back to the tractor sump. The pump output goes out the bottom, I think the front part is the main hydraulic section and the rear section is for power steering.
