thanks for the diagram. Again for the 1985 kubot M4050; the owners manual says the place to check the power steering fluid is on the left side under the hood. Can't find anything that even resembles a power steering reservoir. Online it says the power steering uses the hydraulic fluid. Anyone out there have a M4050 and can verify this.

Workmaster 50 is the same. Looking at front, raise hood (workmaster) and it is near radiator reservoir. Radiator fluid is green (workmaster) and hydralic power steering reservoir is reddish (workmaster). See what color your hydraulic oil is and find reservoir under hood in front of motor that matches. A finger in reservoir will also tell antifreeze liquid or hydraulic fluid. Workmaster 50 uses engine oil, antifreeze for radiator and everything else is hydraulic fluid.

Follow the lines up from the hydraulic steering cylinder that operates the steering link. At the other end of these lines will be whatever pump serves that function.
