I take an old piece of hose and run rv antifreeze and a touch of MMO through pump at end of season. Prevents freezing and adds lubrication at same time. JM2C.

I don’t own a pressure washer, but I’m going to recommend the DR Power brand. I’ve seen power washers on their website and I am very impressed with the DR rear tine rototiller I bought. This company is now owned by Generac and manufactured in Wisconsin.

The specs look good. I could not see the carb good enough to determine if it has a fuel shut off. I like this feature on a unit because we use the unit today and a year later we have use for it again. I turn the fuel off and let the unit run until it cuts itself off because of the lack of fuel. It is much easier to just tilt the unit over and pour stale gas out of the tank and not have to also remove and clean the carb.

Another feature the unit says it has is the use of “Chemicals And Detergents.” Most specify the use of pressure washer soap detergents only. It would be interesting to see exactly what chemical they are talking about.
Gator, it has both a fuel On-Off, a general to start On-Off, Choke - Run switch and it has a carb drain screw so you can remove anything in the carb bowl. It's assembled and waiting to get my ranch gas cans so I can give her a swirl...I'll post some b4 and after's when I'm done.

Let's take care of business next Tues and kick so axx !!!

I've got a Generac with a Honda GX390 engine and CAT pump that's over 20 years old and still works like new. All I've ever done to it is keep the oils changed in the engine and pump and a new spark plug at one point.

My neighbor wheeled this Homelite 3100 psi model with 5 hp Honda out to the trash about 10 years ago. It was missing an air filter and cover and the nozzle was shot.

I wheeled it over to my house and bought a new air cleaner and cover for it. My brother gave me an extra nozzle that he had laying around.

It has worked great for as long as I have had it. All I have done for maintenance is change the oil each year. I only use ethanol free gas in it, and I take it down into the basement for winter storage, so that it don’t freeze. I am way up north near the Canadian border.

It always has started on the first or second pull, and has never lost any pressure. I clean the house, deck and driveway with it every year and wash our cars, trucks, and tractors when they need it. It also works great for cleaning off the underside of mower decks.

My favorite use for it is doing euro mounts of deer skulls. That used to be long, messy, smelly job in the kitchen (not earning me any points with my wife). Now it takes me about a half hour outside with that $ 20 power washer (that’s what the air cleaner filter and cover cost me), to blast all the raw “stuff” off those skulls. The birds and other vermin always clean up all the mess by the next day.
I’ve done about a dozen with it so far:
