Kids aren't forced to use their imaginations now like in LB's day. Taking a toy right out of the box that makes all of the noises and everything sure takes away from the "real" fun part... designing and building it out of much of nothing! It used to be that kids would play outside with whatever resources were available from dawn until dusk each summer.
