I'm confused.. are you asking about power adjust rims? Or somehting like reverse tread r-1 tires on ag implements that are ground driven? Or what? A little more info please.

Power Wheels are battery (rechargable) powered "ride on" toys for kids. (Jeeps, Deere Gators, ect...) I'm fairly certain this ISN'T the right forum for THAT sort of toy.

Now if they were battery powered TRACTORS.........????????????????

(YEP! I have Grandkids! I know about Power Wheels /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

We've got three of them. We have a dune buggy/road warrior type car, a 4 wheeler, and a Silverado. They don't really ride the car much. I think it is too crowded for them - but they do ride it. They spend most of the time between the 4 wheeler and the Silverado. They like the Silverado because they can both ride in it - though they both do ride on the 4 wheeler - just the back one has to hang on to the driver. The Silverado is nice because they ride in it and not on it - makes it a little easier for the younger ones - especially young passengers. On the other hand, the 4 wheeler uses handle bars instead of a steering wheel so it is easier for the kids to turn. The lack of power steering on the Silverado and the car make them harder to drive. The ATV is the lightest so therefore it has the best battery life, but the Silverado is the biggest/heaviest so it has the worst battery life but since it is heavier and has bigger tires it also goes the best. One other thing buy a spare battery. Nothing worse than going out to play and the battery goes dead. We have 4 batteries for 3 vehicles and still usually have one vehicle not running because of a dead battery.

We've bought our kids gas ATVs and they still prefer the PowerWheels because we don't make them wear helmets with them.

PowerWheels are related to Tractorin'. My kids like to chase me around the yard in their PowerWheels when I'm mowin' with the tractor. On a full charge they are about the same speed that I usually mow - about 5 MPH.

My son had the bigfoot powerwheels truck. when i first bought it i only had two batteries , he kept running them down so fast i bought a second set and kept one set on charge. Then his papa, bougth him another set so he could ride all day,,,LOL. I got it at wal mart. it was on clearance for $89 dollars , my son used it untill he was to big for it , then i sold it in a yard sale for $75 .

Just bought our five year old daughter the John Deere Gator by Preg Perego (sp?). We decided to get the Gator over otehr models since it has larger wheels. Since we're on a gravel road/driveway thought this might be useful.
Anyway its been great. Even my 2 1/2 year old boy loves driving it.

Boy, when I was that age I was glad to have anything with wheels, push or peddle. But self propelling, wow !

Our son is 3-1/2 and has a batter powered JD tractor with wagon and loves it... I think it is from toys r us.... runs several hrs on singel charge... Single seater though... Also has a battery powered 4wheeler and enjoys it also... funny how he seems to favor the tractor though... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif to bad I could not get one in NH Blue... with FEL... But poppy gave it to him not me. I do recall seeing one some where that had a FEL...

I would not buy one that runs at less than 12VDC if the youngens are 3 or older... Plus they tend to run longer and have better torque... a must with hilly areas...

Back in the fifties when we were kids my cousin and I built the first gasoline engine powered go cart.

Needless to say we were the hit of the neighborhood.
