Powerflow isn\'t so powerful? Please advise.

First post here so hopefully I'm not offending with my question for my little Deere GT245. I have the powerflow attachment and the thing is CONSTANTLY plugging up on me. I commonly can't even get the bags full without it plugging and having to clear it out. At this point my hands and arms are all scraped up from doing it and I'm becoming less than amused. It clogs seemingly regardless of hte speed I drive at and the belt seems as tight as it can get set by the locking lever. Am I doing something wrong? Does this thing only work if the grass is less than 1" high or something? Feedback welcome before I try to send the thing back...it's virtually useless if this is how it works.
Thanks

I'm not familiar with that equipment, but if you can adjust the front/rear cutting height, cutting higher in front/ lower in back will cause you to cut twice, leave shorter cuttings, and hopefully less clogging.

Something wrong with your setup, as it isn't designed to operate this way. Sent you a PM with some suggestions.

I had one on my 235 and now have one on my 455. If you try and cut wet grass they plug up. Other than that mine has worked very well. I would think something is not right somewhere.

Thanks for all the tips, I'll try them all out ASAP. I'm also going to take the thing back off and reassemble it just to be certain. Like I told Beenthere, I'll be quite happy if it is indeed something I've done wrong!

I have a powerflow bagger and I am quite pleased with it. I've mowed tall grass with it and it vacuumed it up, no problem. The grass needs to be dry and mow at full throttle.
Make sure you have the belt on correctly so the impeller blade is turnng the right direction.

I also have a powerflow on my 335 w/54" deck and have had no problems as long as the grass is dry. Be sure you use the "high lift" blades.

Did you get your powerflow working properly?
