Just wondering, pt 425 for mowing 22 degree slpoes, can it handle it?:

There are quite a few posts and threads here on TBN in regards to your inquiry. You would probably be the best judge in regards to the safety issue involved with the degree of incline, since you are more familiar with the terrain of the land. Go to the SEARCH section at the top of this page and type in Mowing on slopes. Hopefully you will gain a little insight. BTW, Welcome aboard and Best Wishes.

Thanks Creekbend for your quick response. From everything I've read about powertrac, they seem like a great machine! I am 90% sure I will be purchasing one, and just want to be sure it will meet my needs. The tractor will be used primarily as a mower, but I'm sure there will be plenty of other projects for it. most of my land is in the 10 to 15 degree range, but there are some steeper areas in the 22 degree area. The 425 is the size and price I am looking for, but I have also considered the 1430. Any insight from seasoned pt owners would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Why not move it to the Power-Trac forum.

I have the pt425 and love it. I mow some steep slopes and I can't say for sure but I think one slope I mow up and down is around 30° or more. It does fine just a little slower on really steep slopes. I think it is such a universal tractor that does so many different things.
