I sure like my 2520. I started out thinking that the 2320 was what I wanted, but in the end I'm glad I went for the 2520.

I mow about 3.5 acres, and occasionally another 3 or so behind our church. I also maintain a long gravel driveway and the gravel road we live on. I use the 200CX FEL for doing a variety of things, and am very happy with it.

I know that there are those that say the 2720 is a better choice because of a few more HP. But with the incentive on the 2520, I think the value is hard to beat.

I don't think you can go wrong with either the 2320 or the 2520. The $2,500 deal on the 2520 looks real appealing right now. I looked at both and am VERY happy with the 2520!

If you really believe that you'll have a problem finding ENOUGH work for your tractor on 1.8 acres - just casually mention that problem to your friends and neighbors!!

See how long you have that problem...

Get the 2520 and get movin' and mowin'!

You're buying a tractor that is a good fit for your property, so no need for those jitters, Bro...

Heck, look what I'm using for 2.5 acres (see attached picture). That's a he77 of a lawn mower, isn't it?

As Austin Powers father said, "It's not the size mate, it's how you use it."

I'm assuming you have snow removal duties too. Plenty of knowledge here on the TBN. Do you have a laundry list of chores to complete with it such as landscaping, garden tilling? Other honey doos? Are you the type that will go help out a neighbor with it? I do, and it gives me a good feeling to be able to help. I made my neighbor boys a small BMX track in a few hours. You will find many more uses for it than you can imagine.

Its not just a mower. Is your lawn designed to handle a 60" cutter? Fitting in the tight spots can be a headache.

The backhoe is the hardest to cost justify. If you want it, and can afford it, and have the room to store it, get it. I wish I had a backhoe, but I'd probably dig up a water or electric line. I really want to put in a tornado shelter but I can rent one or even better, pay the neighbor the same amount to bring his over and dig it. I've probably paid out almost $1000 for backhoe work over the last 7 years, so I'm still money ahead.

1 more thing, you are buying something that will last you a long time if you take care of it. An heirloom I might say.

Yea snows duties also. At some point either a blade or snowblower. Although I am not for any more snow just yet I imagine clearing snow will be much less effort and faster.

I started looking at adding a snowblower and cab to my 2210 for next winter and got sucked in by the 2520 incentives...I'm only on 2.5 acres and am certain that the tractor is not oversized for what I need ;). The difference in hydraulics between the 2320 and the 2520 is all it took for me to choose between the two. I've been used to that same pump volume on the 2210 I've had for years, and although it is strong and has been a real workhorse, I can't wait to get working with the larger pump on the 2520. A WORLD of difference... Jump on the 2520 and don't look back!
