I have an older IH tractor. During backhoe installation, with no manuals, we accidentally routed the hydraulic lines incorrectly. I believe I deadheaded the pump-- which blew it up.
Is there a way to add some sort of relief valve so this couldn't ruin a second pump if the same thing repeated? We will obviously be more careful next time. But when working with no manuals there is sometimes guesswork involved. It would be nice to add some sort of fail-safe.
