Pressure switch/Well water question

   / Pressure switch/Well water question #11
From what I understand the bladder pressure should be 2-3 lbs. below the cut-in (pump on) pressure of the switch - not cut-out (pump off) pressure.

Yes, try 27 lbs. pressure and keep in mind you are using two different measuring devices (pressure gauge and tire tester possibly) so don't dwell too much on getting that pressure exact.

And as you mentioned, clean, inspect or replace the 1/4" pipe the switch mounts to.

   / Pressure switch/Well water question #12
If you have a long stand off for the pressure switch, there could be air trapped in the pipe which will cause erratic operation of the switch. If this is the case you should install a bleed under the switch base.

Two others have already mentioned it.....set the empty tank pressure at 2-3 psi below the "on" pressure of the switch.

Pump in the flowing creek.

Check the check valve for debris. Also check for operation on the horizontal.:)

Consider making a cistern alongside the creek for the pump.:)

Of course there are no pinhole leaks in the supply line or at connections??
