How good is the mower on the back?

The tractor looks good; however, the bucket has been "hammered" a little, or used as a brake?? I agree with Roy, and start out at 11.5k. One other point to consider; if the loader was abused, you may want to have the clutch checked also?

Sounds like a steal to me. 133 hours is hardly more than break-in. A brand new one of these, with NO loader, NO mower, industrial tires, is gonna run $12,000 and change. How much is a loader, two grand? And unless that mower is as beat as the used King Kutter we just got, it would sell used for at least $500-ish. So you're getting a setup that would cost about $15,000 new, and saving three large for just 133 hours use. DEAL! Tractors don't depreciate the way cars do. I've seen Ford 17xx's with close to 1000 hours on them for only a few grand less than the new price. Frankly, I'm astonished anyone would let one of these slip from their fingers at such low hours. I reckon low-hours used 90-series tractors are exceedingly rare.

As for running a collarshift with two-stage clutch, I hadn't so much as sat on a tractor when they delivered our 790 MFWD a couple weeks ago. I had the hang of the clutch and tranny levers within minutes. The two-stage clutch becomes intuitive quickly.

I agee, that is one nice lookin JD..

I would have jumped at the chance to buy that one when I was lookin for a 30HP tractor for sure.. The mower looks strikingly similar to mine, specifically the gearbox, although mine is not green. I use ours to mow our 30 ish acre's and it hasn't balked yet. With all this rain lately the grass has be growing like it's on steroids, but the mower just keeps chuggin along without a hitch. I'm pretty sure it has mowed through an ant hill or two as well..

I did change out thr gear oil when we recieved it but i'm just picky that way, it probably didn't need it as the mower had less than 100 hours use as well.

If it were me at this point i'd be geting wiggy, Its a good deal and won't last long i'm sure.

Just was notified that it just sold. It sold for the full amount $12,500. I am not going to give up and just keep looking (God will find me our family the right tractor). Thanks guys for all the help, I will probably need some more help in the near future. I am the legs on this operation and my family has most of the backing to this operation... we were just to slow on this one.

I'm sorry you missed that one, but I can't say I'm surprised.
While you're looking, peruse Machine Finder. You might find something else locally.

I found my 790 on Machine Finder. It was also a 2003 model (which has 27 Gross HP, not 30 as that dealer wrote about the one you looked at, and 24 PTO HP). The price was $12500 and the dealer wouldn't budge either (but you gotta try). My tractor had 24 hours on the meter when I bought it about 2 years ago. My 790 was purchased from a dealer 400 miles from my home.

790's are great, but so are 4200's, 4300's, 4210 or 4310. Older Deere's, such as the 870 or 970 are quite viable alternatives (but if you think that 790 went fast...the 870's and 970's move like the speed of light)

Although I'm a Deere guy, don't necessarily limit yourself to Deere.
If other dealers are close, look at New Holland (TC-30, especially) and Kubota (larger "B" series or lower priced "L" series).
Other brands...well, only if a dealer is close.
Grey market...not for me, but some folks like them.
