MF 1547 Hydro
I received a quote from our neighboring Massey Ferguson dealer today on the 1547 and 1552. I have never owned or used a tractor much to date, but the hydro tranny has come highly recommended by many. The 1552 does not come with that option. Here it is. Let me know if it is a fair price. So far the dealer has been a class act and has been around for a while. This is for the tractor with R4's and a FEL. with the quick attach 72" bucket.

MF1547 PowerShuttle w/skid steer quick attach 72” Heavy Duty Bucket $25,067

MF1547 Hydrostatic w/skid steer quick attach 72” H.D. bucket 25,676

MF1552 PowerShuttle w/skid steer quick attach 72” Heavy Duty Bucket 25,777

MF1552 SynchroShuttle w/skid steer quick attach 72” H.D. Bucket 24,863

Thanks,
Blake

Um WoW only 600 more Hydro? That seems to be a good upgrade for the price. What I have seen is around 1000 more for Hydo.

Me? I would go for the extra horses and get the 1552 PowerShuttle.

Keep in mind when having a hydo you have less HP at the PTO then if you went with a geared trans of the same HP motor.

Can't really help you on "if you are getting a good price" on the tractors, never looked at the sizes you have.

Did he give you a price for the DynaQPS? That is the cat meow of transmission for compacts. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I just purchased a MF1552 two days ago. They should deliver tomorrow. My quote was for an MF1552 SynchroShuttle 4WD (no rear valves) with 1530 FEL + Pallet Forks and a BushHog Brand brush cutter. Total $26,000. If I remember correctly, the price for each was

BushHog -- $1300
Pallot Forks -- $700
Tractor + FEL – $24,000

I also live in Georgia which may have cheaper delivery cost since most all compact tractors are assembled in Georgia. Hope this helps.

Best Regards

ok, so it sounds like we were treated similarly regarding the quotes we received. I believe the quick attachment and heavy duty bucket should account for the $800 difference in the two quotes. Thanks for the response.

Best,
Blake

MF compacts are assembled in Sioux City, IA. And, if I'm not mistaken MF/AGCO uses flat rate shipping and setup costs. (Meaning whether it stays in IA or goes to FL the freight is the same.)

What does that mean?

The compacts are assembled out of the crates in Sioux City near to SOO Tractor the loader supplier. They are distributed to all dealers from that point Loaders are also factory installed if the dealer orders it that way.

So, none of the 1500 series are assembled at dealer level? I know that I haven't noticed the crates at the dealers for a while, but really hadn't thought much about it.
