Great information, thanks yet again guys. I had already wondered about the HF engine swap. I did that on a lawn mower of mine and have been extremely satisfied with it. Of course, I realize that these machines have many more complex parts to possibly break than my push mower. If it were just an engine question, that would be a good deal less risk.
This one is in northern New York, near Oneida.
My other thought is that if these machines retain half their new cost after 20 years, then buying new may not be the worst financial decision.
