Thanks everyone. Done a lot of looking and reading on here before making my final decision. I had a 2009 Massey Ferguson 1529 w Shuddle Shift and fixed pin loader. Was a great tractor and kinda regretted selling it after all the new emissions laws went into effect. I was glad to find out about a few new tractors that didn't require emissions. Love all the great information that everyone shares here. Would have concidered another MF but no dealers close by here. I narrowed it down between a JD 3025E or a Kubota L2501. The Kubota won me over for a few reasons.. Has a 3 speed hydro vs. 2. You can remove the loader on the Kubota vs fixed loader on the Deere. The Quick Attach loader system on the Deere is exclusive to JD where the Kubota is Bob Cat style which gives me more implement options. Kubota offers a back hoe for the L2501 where Deere does not on the 3025E. I feel I got a lot more tractor w the Kubota. Just hope my Gator 855D don't take offense to the new Orange machine.

Got a little seat time in this past weekend. Used the grader blade on the gravel drive. Done an amazing job. Took the center crown out and spread the gravel nice and even. A neighbor stopped by on his UTV and thought I had a load of gravel brought in. He was surprised when I said no. Just reclaimed the packed gravel that was already there. Here's a few more pics.

Nice tractor. I know you haven't had it long but how are you liking it so far?

This is one of 2 tractors I'm considering. My local dealer quoted me at 27k for a L2501 4x4, HST, loader, backhoe and R1 tires.

I paid 18500 two years ago
tried to trade it in last year with less than 100 hours to go bigger and they offered $11000:eek:
called later and asked what's the best price on a new L2501 hst 4x4 loader and they said $20,000

DEALERS DON'T WANT TRADES...

I'm loving this little tractor so far. It seems to be just as stout as my last tractor (MF 1529) and it done everything I needed it to. It handled the 5 ft grader just fine. The next task will be mowing the lawn and putting dirt in our raised beds. Love the hydrostatic transmission. My MF and NH tractors were both gears. Can honestly say the hydro took all of 2 min to fall in love with. Makes hooking up to other attachments a breeze. Can't wait to do some loader work.

Congrats! - Fantastic tractors. I bought mine to mow, do some side work and plow. It has exceeded my expectations in every category. In fact I push a 9 ft Western plow and we've had some pretty good storms this winter!

BTW- I also run a 72 inch finish mower (Landpride). It cuts great and the tractor has no problem handling it.

Loader work is excellent and compares equally or superior to my old Bobcat skidsteer.

BTW - your price was right about where I was too. I added the sunshade top and 6ft finish mower and that brought my price up to about $23k, but it was all worth it.

I was in our Kubota dealer today buying fluid and filters for my b21. That little L2501 is a nice tractor for that price. :eek:die::eek:die:
