Why is tractor pricing in Arizona so high? I received quotes on L2800 4wd w/ FEL (no other items) at $16,050 and L3400 4wd w/ FEL (no other items) at $17,650.
I've read several quotes from others in Indiana and Conn., etc. at $14,500 (L2800) and $15,500 (L3400). I understand regional price costs, but should they be $1,500 to $2,000 higher?
Do I have any options other then looking at John Deere? Any comments would be appreciated.

I was quoted 13,500 for L2800 w/no FEL and R4's at one dealer and 12,500 for L2800 w/no FEL and Ag tires at another dealer. Both were Hydrostatic. Through the whole process of shopping, I was looking at the New Holland TC29 and 33 and the KIOTI CK30. The CK30 and the L2800 match up fairly close in price but the KIOTI won out because of some nice extras. Bought the KIOTI and am very satisfied. I guess the best you can do is find a dealer you are comfortable with and take the plunge. If you rely on this forum for pricing, you'll go crazy because of the wide range of prices across the country. Personally, I would not buy from a dealer hundreds of miles away. I had this option when I bought my CK30 and could have saved 1600.00 from a dealer a few states away. Just decided it wasn't worth it. Please remember this is my two cents, not telling you or anyone else what to do. Make your best deal and buy. Everyone around you will be happier too! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Try some out of state dealers if transport can be reasonable.
The price on my L2800 tractor only is 12 and change.

I just paid $17150.00 for L3400 HST with loader and R4's. I am in WA state and that is about the best I could do. Shopped hard for that. Good luck. Brian

Harmond Tractor Company in Maine is advertising L3400HST for A $17,490 right in an ad in Uncle Hennry's (a northern NE sell/swap guide) I didn't think the dealers were allowed to advertise prices but they did.

That was with LA463 loader, Bucket hiik and block heater and your choice of tires.

They list L2800 DT gear shift with all the same stuff for $14,590

Hi Goog -- did your cost of $17,150 include tax (basically out the door cost)?

Uncle Henrey's is a neat mag. Further south we have the Want Advertiser with several tractor dealers advertising...........some pricing, but not much.
