Price check on Z Force 44.

Does anyone know if $2,400 for a 1 year old cub cadet Z force 44 with 24 hrs is a good deal? Also, will it handle 2.5 acres of mowing? I have a cub 50" cut right now and it takes me way too long. I have a couple of obstaciles to mow around. Any experience with going from a traditional riding mower to a ztr would be appreiciated. Trying to cut my time down a bit. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, thats a great price...it will handle your lawn easily. Better jump on that deal before it gets away.

In regards to your question as to if it is the right size for your lawn, that depends partially on how much time you want to spend on cutting. I have a 52" Hustler ZTM, and it takes about 50 minutes to cut 1.2 acres. So, if time is not a big issue, it might do the job.

Another thing to consider is that that is a lot of bumps to deal with using a smaller ZTM (compared to the commercial ones), unless you have a very smooth lot. I used to mow with a John Deere 111, and even though it took longer to cut, it did ride more smoothly than the Hustler.

thanks for the info. right now i spend about 3.5-4.5 hrs mowing and another .5 hrs trimming. my lawn is by no means smooth. i live in rual america where my lawn use to be used as farm land, if that tells you anything. if the ride will "kill" my kidneys and it wont cut a bunch of time off, maybe i should look at something else?

I really do think it will cut time for you. As far as the ride, this thread has a pretty good discussion going on even though the original post is looking at bigger machines than you:
