Hello all,

Saw a used (2000) TC29 with MMM, Hydro, rear blade no FL over 800 hours. Paint and body is normal wear. Top link missing. Leaking Hydro just under radiator (acc. to seller). Lady say's she mowed and bladed only. Say's it starts right up just needs minor repair. She's at another location. Couldn't see it run. Wife says IIIDOOOON"T KNOOOW!

If she's truthful what would be a fair offer?javascript:void(0)

Thanks in advance!

Top links are $20 at TSC and the leak at the radiator is probably the hoses. Common issue with some NH's.

Sorry Tom,
That's what I meant too. The leaking hoses for the Hydro are a common source of problems. It is at the oil cooler for the Hydro located at the radiator area. Not a bad fix, nor is it costly.

Inpector,

Thanks. Any thoughts on what I should offer?

I have no idea what it's worth, but toss the blade as far a cost goes if it's 5 years old. No FEL? Drops the value even more. Someone else here may have a better idea what it should bring.

Cmon folks,

Price checks are tiresome but I know there are
many wise and well informed NH wizards out there.
Help will be very much appreciated.

It might be worth a little more, but I don't think I'd offer over $10k for the tractor, maybe less. With a missing toplink and leaking hydro cooler hoses, you have to question if the proper maintenance has been done for that 800 hours. If there are no records you have to assume the worst. Also, can you inspect the tractor before purchase? That would tell you a lot. If it were a tractor I was selling, I'd make sure the leaking hydro cooler hoses were fixed before selling. Not doing that indicates a lack of concern or poor maintenance to me, but that's just a "gut" response.

You will probably get more answers on a weekday rather than the weekend too. Without "TC29" in your title, many folks may not read your post because they don't see the tractor type in the title. Give it a couple of more days and I'm sure you will get more answers to your question.

You could look on Ebay and see what kind of prices they are getting at auction. Also, JD has an equipment finder feature on their site wherein you can list the make/model and if there are any for sale by participating dealers they will show up. Then there's paper publications like USAFarmer and such that have all kinds of tractors for sale. You just need to spend some time finding one in the listings. Not all bad time, reading about tractors for sale. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
