Price for Rhino SE-415: Need Help FAST!

Been looking for 15ft bat wing mower for a long time. Found one used, Rhino SE-415, about 3 years old, kept in barn, looks to be in good shape, no big dents, air plane tires, 3 hyd. hoses, one for lift, and one for each wing. Cutters in fair condition, kinda nicked up, probably need replaced or sharpened. What would be fair price? Anyone know what they sell for new? On a dealers lot as trade in, and says it won't be there long. Help quick if you can. Thanks!

I've seen batwings of that size at a $1000/foot new, and much more.
I think that when one is in excellent condition, you won't save as much as you'd think as they hold value pretty well.
Soundguy bought a new 10' Howse though and I think he got it for something like $2400?

Seriously, I don't know what it's worth but you should be able to get a price on a new one and go from there pretty quickly. It's got a good name as far as I can hear.

A dealer in Kansas has two used ones for sale, one 2001 and one 2002 model year. Prices are $6950 and $6350. Both rated as very good to excellent condition.

I believe the model is called a SE-15 or SE15-4A. This is the lightest duty flexwing Rhino makes. I have a FL-15 Magnum (Super Heavy Duty). A brand new SE-15 would cost you about $9000. The SE15 will give a better cut than the one I have -- it has a higher blade tip speed. If you are just going to be mowing grass/pasture, it would be a great mower to gobble up.

The mower I have has thousands of hours on it, and is about 12 years old. I would not hesitate to buy the one you are looking at if the price is right. What is a good price? That is the $64,000 question. I'm not sure what would be a good price. What is the asking price?

If you are a serious buyer, write out a check for $5500 and hand it to him. If he rejects your offer, take back your check, say thank you for your time and walk away -- I bet he calls you back before you hop back into your vehicle.

If it's in decent shape, which it sounds like it is, $5500 is a good price (IMO). Unless you are going to put massive amounts of hours on it each year, that mower should last you forever.
