John Deere 4310
I've got a buddy who's shopping a 3320 and I was wondering what sort of pricing he should be looking for. I'd like to know what the tractor price alone would/should be, but he will be including a 300cx FEL, (and he'll be pricing a tiller too).

Thanks for you input...

The usual figure is around 10%, to possibly 15%, off the MSRP that is given on JD's online equipment builder. Have your buddy go on there and price out exactly what he wants, then take about that percentage off of the given total, and you should arrive at a good negotiating point.

I will try that, thanks.

I should clarify the model he's looking at the eHydro, with R4's and a 3rd SCV (no cab).

I would figure 10-15% off the web pretty easily. I bought an 07 3320 last year , hydro, 300CX, 72 MMM, Frontier 2065BB, HLA forks, 3rd SCV, Imatch hitch, power beyond, (hydraulic diverter and top N tilt) "pricey" options for 25,500. Figured the tractor alone somewhere between 15K-17K. I know the 08 John Deere pricing went nearly $1000-$1500 for the base tractor over the 07s. Wouldn't change it for the world.

I just recently purchased a 2009 3320, 300CX loader, Forks, Box Blade, and 5' Shredder. Got 42 month 0% financing from Deere.

Paid $18,090 for the 3320 and $3,840 for the loader (not including tax).

I just bought a 3520 and only got a little over 5% off msrp. I checked with 7 dealers all across the country and the dealer nearest me had the best price fortunately. But still, it was only around 5% off of msrp. One dealer actually offered no discount at all. Be careful when you get your offers online because some of my offers didn't include tax or destination charges in an effort to make their offers look artificially low.

Also, my dealer told me that the customer ends up paying for the 0% financing in some form or fashion. He said he could either raise the price of the tractor by a couple hundred dollars and give me the 0% financing, or I could do 2.4% financing for free for 48 months.

I was thinking this morning when I read your post about the leftover box blade that the dealer should toss it in as a freebie, now I am positive of that.
When I bought my new tractor this year and ordered it the deal worked out to 17% off when all was done.

Steve, You got 17% off msrp?! May I ask which part of the country you bought from? I'd be willing to drive a looong way to get that kind of deal. Maybe you're right about the box blade. I'll run that by him tomorrow. Thanks for your response.

While shopping for my tractor last month, I visited 9 dealers within a 55 miles radius of my home. The price was different at each dealer all pricing the same equipment and tractor. I finally found an independent dealer, meaning not a part of the Tri-Green company and he beat everybody, Kubota and kioti included by over $1500 without ever negotiating any.

Look for an independent dealer and see how his price compares.

I bought my JD 3720 with cab and FEL for 18% off list and that was with 0% financing. All acessories and options also 18% off. All accessories and options were installed at no additional cost. Tractor was ordered and showed up in about 3 weeks. No trade in. However, most quotes were quite higher in final price at most dealers.
