STVMAN,
When you look at out of state purchase on a tractor just to save a small amount of money, or to evade taxes (which will end in the near future I am told), you have to consider the fact of service (IE repair and warrenty work).
While an out of state dealer may be able to get you parts, they cannot provide warrenty work to you as Kubota Corperation will not pay travel time on warrenty's. If you go to a local dealer and then decide to undercut him to save salestax or a few hundred dollars on a deal then do you think he will be as willing to help you out as someone who bought from him? I would think not.
You have to consider service when purchasing a tractor from a distance. While internet dealers may be able to provide a bit better of a deal, they cannot provide you with the service your local shop probably could.
Dealers are becoming more and more singy about who they do service for because they have to protect themselves in this game that Carver and the others are trying to make so cut-throught.
