I have a B2920 with 5 hours on it.With it goes a slightly used Landpride boxblade and new Landpride rotary cutter. It has front end loader and r4 tires.I was thinking of asking $16500 for it.Is this a reasonable price for this?

Nah... people probably just aren't real sure. I'm not either really.... it is so close to new with only 5 hours. How much do you have in all of it?

The usual response is that you'd have to take an abnormal beating to sell it when folks can buy new and get 0% financing.

I also think that's part of why your getting no responses. 100 hours or 5 hours will make very little difference in price to a buyer. To you it's new and you know what you paid for it and all of us feel for you because we all know it's now just a used tractor with very low hours. It's still used when it comes to financing. The 0% naysayers can look at your situation and maybe get a little better understanding of the real value of 0% financing. A new one from a dealer is a certain price per month for 42 months with 0% financing. Easy to figure, sale price divided by 42. Yours is a certain price per month with whatever rate of financing someone can get with their current credit score. Your sale price plus financing costs for 42 months divided by 42 equals what someone will have to pay per month for yours. Some here quote the fed rate of almost nothing but the rate for an individual for a tractor will be from 5 to 10% which will very easily add a couple to several thousand dollars more to your selling price which can make yours more than a new one from a dealer. Also factor in what kind of deal you actually paid for yours. If you paid high dollar and someone can negotiate a better deal (say a thousand dollars) than you did on a new one then another $1000 can be saved on a new one over yours or you lose another $1000 on yours. The other reason for no responses is most of us already have a tractor and are not in the market to buy one. I for one never keep up with prices and without digging up paperwork have no idea what I paid for mine. Once my deal is made I put all that knowledge to the past and clear what lttle brain space I have left for filling with other usually useless information.:) Sorry to be the bearer of bad news and I think what you can sell it for is going to be bad news compared to what you paid for it and the amount of use you got out of it. Maybe you could sell it to someone you know that you have absolute confidence in that they will pay and you carry the financing. Some here might suggest you keep making payments to Kubota (hopefully you have it financed with them for 0%) while your trusted buyer pays you and have it insured to the max. I'm not suggesting that but I would probably do it for the right buyer. Well, actually I did but I got all the money up front from the buyer.

I looked but mostly because some day that's the tractor I would like but I can't help you determine price and I can't offer you anything to buy it. I'm just not really ready to buy yet. I'm sure it will make someone a good tractor. Too bad you have to sell and take a loss ... whatever the loss will be. But good luck with it.

I'm guessing alot of people didn't post a reply because the question isn't what it's worth but what you can get someone to pay for it. If someone can go to the dealer and buy the same tractor for 28 dollars more a month (1000/42) they are probably just going to buy from the dealer. I think unless you have some rich friends they will just go to the dealer. Most people who are looking to buy used are looking for a deal (buy for 5K sell for 10K)or because they can't afford a new one.

It will probably be cheaper to keep it if you can. Otherwise you're probably gonna take a pretty good hit to sell it.

For most, I imagine it is probably a bad time of year to be thinking about buying.

I have been looking at some really nice older machines and may very well go that route for my next tractor; like I really need one.

The zero financing makes it difficult to compete with a dealer as others have said. However, a pretty rough calculation would be:

Price new 17500
Minus 48 month 5% interest ~2500
Minus first year depreciation hit (10%) 1750

So, you might get some bites 13-14K

Just my take on it.
