Ballast Price of JD Ballast Box New - Used?

What is the current price for a new John Deere Cat. 1 ballast box? Does anyone have a used one for sale in Iowa?? BG

Yeah, the local JD place is telling me $240-$260. How long ago did you pay $200?

It was also part of a whole package that included tractor, loader, mower, ect.

Seems like a lot of $'s for what you are getting. You might consider wheel weights and/or fluid in tires.

Greetings from just up the road... just wanted to hop in and say welcome...

I would almost sell you mine... but they ARE handier than throwing an attachment on now and then when you need the extra weight. Good luck with your search... Watch Ebay too.

Make a box outta wood, pour cement into it and done. just make sure your support bars are in the right places for attaching. You will want to fill it with cement anyhow so why pay for the box too. Wish i would have thought of that before i spent money on something i didnt need to spend it on.
